About the FDP

The FDP aims at familiarising young engineers and teaching faculty from Institutions of Engineering and Technology in the upcoming fields of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and the role of Linear Algebra in their study.

• Linear Algebra is a branch of Mathematics, which is the mainstay of almost all the areas of Mathematics.
• Linear Algebra is the foundation of Machine Learning- from the notations used in describing the algorithm to the implementation of the algorithm itself. Artificial Intelligence is not magic, it’s just mathematics. It depends on Innovative, Futuristic and Revolutionary mind, well versed in Linear Algebra. Linear Algebra incorporates the inputs on learning issues.
• A Dataset is frequently and conveniently represented as a matrix. Linear Algebra is used in Data Science to preprocess the data, transformation of the data and its evaluation. Thus, Linear Algebra becomes the fulcrum in the study of Data Science.
