Applications are invited for JRF (Chemical Engineering) Under DST Funded Project at IIT Gandhinagar for the year 2022. The last date of application is 27 January.

Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for a JRF position in Chemical Engineering for a research project funded by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India.

Job Description

The candidate will be required to work in the laboratory focused on understanding the flow properties of variety of soft materials such as suspensions. emulsions and hydrogels. The candidate should have excellent grip on mathematics and should have good familiarity with chemical engineering topics especially thermodynamics, fluid mechanics. He/she should be a highly motivated, continuous learner who is able to work independently.

Eligibility

Candidates must hold min 70 %, or CPI of 7.0 in BTech/MTech (or M.S) in Chemical Engineering or related disciplines. B.Tech candidates should have qualified CSIR NET / UGC or GATE or equivalent national level exam.

Previous experience in biomaterials, synthesis, characterization, cell culture is highly desirable.

Duration

1 year and may be extended depending on duration of grant and periodic performance evaluation of the candidate.

Salary

As per SERB norms; 31,000 INR per month
