This is the first international conference ever organized by this department. It is intended to provide a common platform to researcher scholars and faculty members working in different disciplines to interact and exchange their ideas on how Statistics is being used in their research. The conference will be organized in a blended mode (both online and offline modes; online mode for presenters from outside Mizoram and offline mode for presenters from within Mizoram), for the convenience of the conference participants.

Call for Papers

All the faculty members and research scholars who are interested to present their work in this international conference are encouraged to submit the abstract of their research work using the following google form link. The abstract should not exceed 250 words, and must be submitted on or before the due date of 22nd January, 2023.

About the Institution

Pachhunga University College (PUC) is the only constituent college (University college) of Mizoram University (A Central University). It is the oldest and largest college in Mizoram by students’ enrolment and campus size. It is a NAAC A+ graded institute, and ranked 45th in the all India NIRF ranking in 2022. Currently, the college offers 23 undergraduate and 6 postgraduate courses. The college also offers PhD courses in life sciences and physics.

About the Department

The Department of Statistics has been functioning since 1993. Currently, there are 5 regular faculty members and one guest faculty in the department. The faculty members are actively engaged in teaching UG and PG courses, and in research,
