Megelien Gerritzen  (Paid) Fellowship 2023 

The  Migelion Gerritzen fellowship welcomes proposals for conservation and scientific research that use the museum's collection and resources. The aim of this fellowship is to encourage and support scholarly investigation and to contribute to academic discourses while making strong bonds with museums and universities.

General Information:

• Fellowship stipends are awarded to help support a fellow study and research effort during the tenure of their project in the fellowship. The stipend of $39000 for MA graduate and /or Ph.D. fellows or $45000 for postdoctoral fellows.
• It is for 12 months commencing 1 September 2023, the start of the academic year.
• The fellowship will allow for limited travel for research in art collections and archives elsewhere in Europe to a maximum value$ 5000 annually.
• The Rijksmuseum will cover visa fees for the fellow, but not for dependents. The fellowship is open for MA graduates, as well as Ph.D. students and post-doctoral candidates.
• Fellowship is open for candidates from all nationalities and with various specialisms they may include conservators and scientists.
• The application is only open till January 9 2023 at 6:00 pm (CET).
