Startup India is a flagship initiative of the Government of India, intended to catalyse startup culture and build a strong and inclusive ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in India.

StartUp India State Workshops – Maharashtra Edition

• To ensure curated support for women entrepreneurs across the country, Startup India has launched Women for Startups: State Workshops for existing and aspiring women entrepreneurs.
• The Women for Startups – Maharashtra Edition is being organized by Startup India in collaboration with the Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSIS) in Mumbai.
• The one-day workshops will include focused sessions on capacity building by industry experts, experience sharing by founders, an overview of the support provided by startup ecosystem stakeholders and investor pitching sessions for shortlisted women-led startups.
• The workshop will be organised on 21st July 2023 in Mumbai.
• The venue of the workshop would be updated shortly.

Procedure Post Submission

1. All applicants, existing and aspiring women entrepreneurs from Maharashtra are encouraged to attend the physical workshop at Mumbai.
2. Shortlisted applicants for the Investor Connect and Pitching Session, will be notified of the same. Please note that for the Investor Connect and Pitching Session, only DPIIT-recognized startups will be eligible for shortlisting.

• Is the workshop completely physical?
  • Yes, the workshop is being conducted in a completely physical setting in Mumbai.
• Is there any registration fee involved?
  • There is no registration fee involved. One can attend the workshop free of any cost.

Eligibility Criteria

1. All applicants, existing and aspiring women entrepreneurs from Maharashtra, are encouraged to attend the physical workshop in Mumbai.
2. For Investor Connect and Pitching Session, only DPIIT-recognised startups will be eligible for shortlisting.
3. We are open to offline registration at the venue on the day of the event.
