We indians have a strange way of showing our respect to ganga maiya. We have built structure to install your idol of goddess ganga ji.
Ganga maiya continues to time less beauty , it's hard to say How long maiya can sustain our religious offerings. Maiya meanders down from Himalaya with her icy cool touch and golden hues at sun set. We gather ,sing, chant.we make big promises should she our wishes grant.

Our holy men offers prayers on her shore asking for wisdom .on a bowl a prayer lamp we light on her water, we float it, mindless of its plight. It floats ebbs it won't degrade, laments the river bed. We dip our feet what better way to beat the heat? And in her water , we toss our waste . From water we satiate our thirst, never once doubting purity or dirt. Some of us quietly contemplate on her banks. For all it endures, we offer our THANKS. With such love , she turns a bright red she knows we think with our heart not our head.
