Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: Graduate/Postgraduate in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science from a recognized university/institute.
• Skills: Proficiency in computerized library services is essential.

Key Skills

• Operation of printers and scanners
• RFID Inventory and RFID Kiosk
• Cataloguing (MARC 21) and classification (DDC 21st edition) for technical processing
• Intermediate level proficiency in MS Excel and Word
• Experience with any Integrated Library System (ILS) cataloguing and circulation modules

Responsibilities

• Shelving current periodicals and creating holding records
• Maintenance and preservation of physical and digital collections
• Utilizing any ILS circulation and cataloguing modules
• Technical processing, including cataloguing and classification
• Weeding and maintaining library materials
• Assisting in stock verification
• Managing transactions such as check-ins, check-outs, reserves, and requests
• Compiling statistics of all transactions
• Maintaining TOC (Table of Contents) of print serials
• Shelf rectification and inventory management
• Processing daily newspapers and magazines
• Maintaining displays and notice boards
