About the Global Innovation Challenge

The Social Shifters Global Innovation Challenge aims to support young people (aged 18-30) worldwide who are passionate about addressing social and environmental issues. This program is perfect for those at the early stages of their project development. Social entrepreneurs and businesses with more developed initiatives are also welcome.

Thanks to generous sponsors, the program is completely free for participants! Project teams will receive guidance during the application process, access to live networking sessions, one-on-one coaching for finalists, and additional opportunities to advance their ideas after applying.

Focus on Sustainable Development Goals

To participate in the Global Innovation Challenge, your project must contribute to at least one of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age: Open to individuals aged 18 to 30.
• Location: Applications are accepted from any country.
• Focus: Projects must address one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
• Stage: Open to ideas at any stage, from initial concept to more developed projects.

Benefits of Participating

• Support for Progress: Receive help in refining your submission and exclusive follow-up support for up to 100 project teams.
• Funding Opportunities: Compete for multiple grants up to INR 8,34,744.50 (USD 10,000) to support impactful work in communities and the environment.
