About the Opportunity
The ICMR-Extramural Adhoc-BMS funded project titled “Unravelling Mystery of Bacterial Persistent Infection: Genome-wide Identification and Characterization of Toxin-Antitoxin Systems of Helicobacter pylori” is a cutting-edge research initiative aimed at exploring the mechanisms that enable bacterial persistence in chronic infections. Helicobacter pylori, a significant human pathogen, is the primary focus of this study. The project seeks to identify and characterize toxin-antitoxin systems that play a crucial role in bacterial survival, potentially leading to novel therapeutic targets.

Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: Post Graduate 1st class degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Science, Bioinformatics, or a relevant subject.
- Competitive Exams: Must be CSIR/UGC NET or GATE qualified.
Desirable Experience:
- Prior experience in molecular biology, particularly in bacterial culture work.
- Knowledge and skills in computational biology.
