Calling all young innovators and environmental enthusiasts! The Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, India, is excited to announce the National Level Eco Creativity and Innovation Hackathon. If you’re passionate about addressing environmental challenges and have creative solutions to offer, this is your chance to make a difference! Submit your innovative ideas by September 15, 2024.

Hackathon Details

The National Level Eco Creativity and Innovation Hackathon invites students from classes 6 to post-graduate levels to showcase their innovative ideas aimed at solving pressing environmental issues. Organized in collaboration with the Pi Jam Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, this hackathon is a platform to bring forth creative solutions under the themes of LIFE (Lifestyle for Environment).

Themes

Participants are encouraged to focus on one or more of the following themes:

• Save Energy
• Say No to Single-Use Plastic
• Save Water
• Adopt Sustainable Food Systems
• Reduce Waste
• Adopt Healthy Lifestyle
• Reduce E-Waste

Who Can Participate?

The hackathon is open to students in three categories:

• 6th to 8th Grade
• 9th to 12th Grade
• Undergraduate to Postgraduate

Rewards

The top 100 performers will have the unique opportunity to showcase their innovations at a national-level event in Delhi, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change.

• Online Submission: Participants can submit their ideas through this link.

No restrictions.

How many submissions can be done by one student?
One submission per student.

Will there be training?
Yes, the hackathon provides video content explaining the LIFE themes and block-based coding projects to assist participants in developing their ideas.
