This project prioritizes biodiversity assessment, landscape restoration, nature-based rural livelihoods, and climate resilience.

Project AMP-Himalaya is a strategic initiative targeting biodiversity conservation and livelihood enhancement in three key landscapes of the Indian Himalayan Region:
- Khangchendzonga Landscape: Covering Darjeeling hills and Sikkim
- Trans-Himalayan Landscape: Located in Ladakh with agro-pastoral systems and rangelands
- Arunachal Pradesh: Renowned for its dense forests, biodiversity, and cultural diversity
