DESCRIPTION:
The CEEBT initiative is intended to help one or more HBCUs establish a model centre of educational excellence with a track record of graduating highly talented and well-prepared Black teachers.
Background: The CEEBT programme is designed to support one or more model centres of educational excellence at HBCUs to help increase the number of well-prepared Black teachers who teach in our nation's elementary and secondary schools, which aligns with the Department's strategic goal of a more diverse educator workforce. This initiative focuses on the recruitment, preparation, support, and placement of Black teachers throughout the teacher training pipeline.
