Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Trainee at National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), Anand.

The National Dairy Development Board is a statutory body set up by an Act of Parliament of India. It is under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India. The main office is in Anand, Gujarat with regional offices throughout the country.

Profile Summary

• Overall programmatic work related to ongoing  National Beeking & Honey Mission and formation of FPOs project in terms of field level implementation, coordination, data collection and other work pertaining to he projects.
• To facilitate organisation of training programmes, workshops, formation of FPOs, stablish good professional connect with milk unions/ agencies implementing the project under guidance from project team.

Key Roles and Responsibility

NBHM Scheme:

• Organize training programmes/ capacity building activities in different districts in coordination with Milk Unions/ Other agencies
• Organize seminars at national, state and district level in coordination with Milk Unions
• Documenting and recording all the information like meetings, trainings etc. with proper signatures and documents
• Record and track expenditures incurred with respect to the programme.
• Assist in developing proposals under NBHM schemes related to infrastructural development in Bee-keeping​

FPO Scheme:​

• Assist Milk Unions in conducting baseline survey for grass root analysis to ensure availability of honey potential in the cluster.
• Assist in development of Standard Operating Procedures for honey activity.
• Mobilisation of farmers, training and guidance as per the requirements of project.
• Devising a business plan for FPOs formed to ensure FPOs can run efficiently.
• Support and guide FPOs to avail govt. assistance through various Central/ State Govt. agencies.
• Record and track expenditures incurred with respect to the programme.
• Support in monitoring of FPOs progress for submission of monthly, annual reports to NDDB higher management

And any other task assigned by your reporting officer from time to time.

Qualification & Experience

• ​A postgraduate degree and at least one year of work experience in community development/rural development/ agriculture/ social work
• 1-2 Years in Community Mobilisation/FPO formation/implementation of Government Schemes at Grassroot level/ Training and Capacity building programme

• Ability to assist with all activities, particularly in the area of community mobilization activities/ FPO formation/ training & capacity building programme
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong verbal and written presentation skills
• Willingness to travel to different parts of country/ remote areas

Period of Posts

​​This traineeship position is for a period of one year and further extendable for one more year.
