Applications are invited for JRF/SRF (Earth Sciences) Under MoES Funded Project at IIT Gandhinagar for the year 2022. The last date of application is 31 January.

Applications are invited for temporary position of a SRF/JRF position in a research project on “Study of Earth Surface Processes at three different Critical Zones with Different Climatic and Geologic Settings in Western India” funded by Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES).

Eligibility

Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Earth Sciences/Chemistry/Physics or related area. Candidates should have qualified GATE/NET examination. Candidates selected through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institution such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc will also be considered.

Duration

The positions will be for one-year duration, which may be extended on the basis of satisfactory performance and availability of project fund.

Responsibilities

The project work is related to geochemical analysis of water and sediment samples of river system and hydro-geomorphic analysis of the river basins. The project work includes good amount of field investigation. JRF will be expected to carry out field work and lab analysis related to project activities.
