Korean Government Scholarship Program

The Korean scholarship program an international cooperation is inviting international students to Korea for an opportunity to conduct advance studies at higher institutions in Korea. KOREA Language training Grantees are required to take Korean language course for 1 year at language institution located on campus of domestic universities. Those who have got Korean language fluency higher than 5 in TOPIK are exempt from this requirement.

 LOCATION: South Korea

 ELIGIBLITY: 

• Both applicant and his/her parent should be residing in country of origin

 • Applicants should have good health to stay in foreign country for long time.

 • Should be 25 years at date of entrance. (UG) 

• Should be under 40 years at date of entrance. (PG) •

 Should be having bachelors or master’s degree at date of arrival.

 • Applicants previously applied for UG program, master’s program or doctoral programs are not eligible.

 • A former or current KGSP scholar who has overall 90% or above can reapply for this program either through embassy or university track.

• Timeline: Announcement released o Undergraduate in Sept. in the year prior to planned studies in Korea o Graduate  Feb. in the year of planned studies in Korea • Recommend candidates (Korean Embassies, designated universities) o Undergraduate  Oct.-Nov. in the year prior to planned studies in Korea o Graduate  Mar.-Apr. in the year of planned studies in Korea • Results released o Undergraduate  Jan. in the year of planned studies in Korea o Graduate  June in the year of planned studies in Korea • Arrival in Korea o Undergraduate  Late Feb. in the year of planned studies in Korea o Graduate  Late Aug. in the year of planned studies • Check the official website for further details.
