Project description
IIT Gandhinagar is looking for a bright PDF to
- To develop a new culturally- informed model for using cultural heritage to facilitate sustainable development goals;
- To develop protocols to protect indigenous cultural heritage and intellectual rights, as a basis for developing culturally informed, viable and sustainable economic opportunities for Indigenous groups;
- To help in data collection including oral histories of indigenous communities in northeast (Naga) and west India (Bhil) and Australia, collect archival data, and develop indigenous cultural and intellectual property protocols; and
- To work on Archival record of colonial time administrators, anthropologist and missionaries on the Naga Culture (preferable).

Mandatory: PhD in any of the following disciplines (or related disciplines): Cultural Anthropology, Heritage Sustainability, Ethnoarchaeology, Social Archaeology, Indigenous Archaeology
Preferred: Scholars having field research experience on the Nagas, Bhils or Australian Aborigines; Publications on Indigenous communities; Interest in heritage and wellbeing; and Working on archival records, Fluent writing skills in English.
Age: Below 35, Relaxation may be given for experienced candidates having publications on related field. For those in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences looking for Post-doctoral Fellowship must apply.
