Project Title

On study of nonlinear Schrodinger operator with critical nonlinearity

Job Description

• Studying properties of the nonlinear Schrodinger operator
• The candidate is expected to do full-time research on the project

Essential Qualification

• Ph. D in Mathematics with good academic record or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience in Mathematics with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
• Those who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting for the award of the degree are also eligible to apply. However, these candidates will be considered as SRF till they defend their thesis. After their successful defence of thesis, they will be eligible for Research Associate I.

Desirable Qualification

Minimum 3 years of research experience in functional analysis and partial differential equations is expected.

Consolidated Emoluments

Rs. 47,000 per month if thesis defended, else Rs. 35,000 per month+ 16% House Rent Allowance per month.

Duration of the Tenure

Maximum 3 months

Tenure of Appointment

The appointment for the above contractual position will be initially for 3 months, which may be curtailed or extended based on the performance of the candidate, availability of funds in the project and requirement in the project. The appointment will be a co-terminus with the project.

Age Limit

Not exceeding 35 years as of the date of the selection process.
