NIT Rourkela is organising a TEDx event, named TEDxNITRourkelaWomen on January 8 and 9, 2022.

About TEDx Events

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience in the spirit of ideas worth spreading. TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark in-depth discussion and connection at a TEDx event.

These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. 

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. TEDx talks are aimed to build a clearinghouse of free knowledge from the world’s most inspired thinkers and a community of curious souls to engage with each other’s innovative ideas.

About TEDxNITRourkelaWomen

The event TEDxNITRourkelaWomen is an independently organized, first of its kind TED event that will be held on January 8 and 9, 2022. This event will be streamed live on YouTube and our website from 4 pm to 8 pm.

TEDxNITRourkelaWomen is an event dedicated to celebrating the greatness of women and all of the unfathomable achievements and contributions they have made in all domains.

The event will have women at the acme of their respective fields giving awe-inspiring real-life accounts of their lives. These women originate from various backgrounds and are coming together to enlighten people and discuss what the future holds in store for us all.

Veethika Mishra

Veethika Mishra is a senior designer and gaming enthusiast having the expertise in providing developers with the best application development experiences, has showcased her diligence and determination; she further went on to play the vital roles of the senior product designer at GitLab, Interaction designer at Red Hat, and many more.

Ronkini Gupta

Ronkini Gupta is an Indian playback singer and composer who shot into fame after winning the Saregamapa World Series back in 2004. She has been the recipient of several awards, including multiple Filmfare nominations. Along with her band, The Kheyaal-e-Jazz Projekt, she has captivated people with their music all over the nation.

Dr. Yojna Sah Jain

Dr. Yojna Sah Jain is the founder and CEO of the digital healthcre company, HealthPrax. She is also the author of three books and a strong advocate for Hindi and Indian culture propagation.

Kaneenika Sinha

Kaneenika Sinha, a mathematician who is currently an Associate Professor of Mathematics at IISER, Pune, has progressed to one of the most prestigious stages via constant hard work and commitment. She has shown great interest in the field of Mathematics, completing her research thesis in “Effective equidistribution of eigenvalues of Hecke operators.” 

Hansika Kapoor

Dr. Hansika Kapoor works at Prayogshala as a Research Author. Besides, she is committed to studying and improving people’s mental health. She has also looked into the negative creativity construct using behavioral and psychophysiological methodologies. 

Gina Chavez

Gina Chavez is a Latin Grammy-nominated and multiple award-winning indie musician. She has also shown her support for the queer community and women’s empowerment. 

Maja Bosnic

Maja Bosnic is the director of business development at NIRAS International Consulting. She is a lead author of the “Citizens Guide to Budget,” co-author of the “Handbook for Successful Cooperation with Parliament for Citizens,” coordinator of the “GRB Textbook for Universities” for the SEE region.

Rha Goddess and Deepa Purushothaman

Rha Goddess is an entrepreneurial soul coach and CEO of “Move the Crowd.”, , She is the author of “The Calling:3 Fundamental Shifts to Stay True, Get Paid, and Do Good.”

Deepa Purushothaman is a writer and speaker who co-founded NFormation and Avasara, India’s first leadership academy for young women. 

Anna Malaika Tubbs

Anna Malaika Tubbs is a scholar, author, advocate, and educator. A sociology doctoral student at the University of Cambridge, she made her debut with the novel “The Three Mothers’ ‘.Anna Malaika Tubbs’s debut novel, “The Three Mothers’ ‘, made her a non-fiction author. Her books have been featured in renowned magazines like Oprah Daily, People Magazine, USA Today.

Srishti Bakshi

Srishti Bakshi is the Co-Founder of MOWO Fleet and an action-oriented activist focused on employing women and making them strong. She strives to 

create awareness regarding violence faced by women. She profoundly addresses the physical challenges that she faced in her life, yet she moved ahead fearlessly.

Lilly Singh

Lilly Singh is a Canadian YouTuber and late-night talk show host who has won multiple awards, including the Streamy Awards in her inspirational career and has been honoured with the People’s Choice Award for ‘Favourite Youtube Star’. She is often known as Superwoman and has been recognised for her roles in the films “Dr. Cabbie” (2014) and “Giving Back Glam” (2014) on YouTube. 

In a tragic, horrible, no good phase of time, we are confident that these people can inculcate new ideas to the general public.
