The CERN Beamline for Schools Competition 2022 in Geneva, Switzerland

ABOUT:

Beamline physics competition is a very popular competition which offers high school students (more than 13000 participation over last 8 years) the opportunity to perform the experiments in latest research  laboratory. The committee of experts select two teams and give them the opportunity to perform their experiment at physics facility , this happens every year.

This year the experiments will be performed at CERN at team beam facility of the proton synchrotron (PS). Particle beam and Infrastructure allow range of experiments in detector development , particle physics and in other discipline of science .

 Location : Switzerland

 Benefit:

l  Insight into modern particle physics.

l  Opportunity to research on powerful particle accelerator.

 Eligibility:

l  Team of at least 5 student (one adult supervisor or coach

l  Age: 16 years and older

Application Process:

To take part in BL4S think of a simple creative experiment and a short video proposal by April 15,2022. This is a challenging task but do not get afraid and do not hesitate to get in touch with organising team or contact person of your area or country.
