About the Challenge

They are looking for women Application Engineers to join our Technology Management Group for Bangalore and Mumbai. 

Objective of the challenge:

• They are looking for the best in class talent and the best minds to join our team and to build a world class bank, right here in India.
• Looking at hiring a minimum of 30 women Application Development Engineers. (Data engineers, Tech Design: build technology for scale, Product Design: UI-UX design across devices, AI, product hack-a-thon).
• Build India’s Silicon Valley Talent pool and increase the gender diversity within our Technology Management Group at IDFC FIRST Bank.

• 2 Programming Questions based on DS and Algo

Process:

• After a student gets shortlisted, the Top 150 students who are interested in exploring opportunities at IDFC FIRST Bank will be called for interview. Interview will be conducted virtually; invitations will be sent separately on email.
• Candidate interviews will be taken by Technology Leaders of IDFC FIRST Bank and HR manager.
• Students who get through the interview process will be extended a formal offer to join IDFC FIRST Bank.

Job Purpose:

As part of this journey, we are looking out for Application Engineers across our platforms/modules/systems/applications who could cater to our internal banking business requirements. The role is required to deliver on the technical requirements for their allocated domain in terms of engineering.

This role will act as a technical expert for the Technology Org. for that domain.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• The role will manage the technology development needs of their assigned platform/module/application
• The bank currently uses multiple platforms/applications to cater to our diverse banking needs across units; and you will be responsible for the technical delivery of the ones assigned to you
• Understand the functional and nonfunctional requirements, specifications and drive the story development by working with the team members
• Understand the functional and nonfunctional requirements, specifications and drive the story development by working with the team members
• Some prevalent technologies and concepts within the Tech team’s work are – golang, microservices, data engineering, API, Kubernetes, DevOps, Docker, Ansible, Chef, Terraform, SaaS/IaaS platforms
• Ensure program milestones are achieved in the given timelines to avoid misalignment
• Work closely in a highly AGILE environment with a team of engineers, business analysts, delivery managers and vendors
• The success of this role is to ensure product evolution and include your features to ongoing releases
