The Nature Positive Student Ambassador Program is a dynamic opportunity for students worldwide to support biodiversity on their campuses and contribute to the Nature Positive movement. This program, developed by the University of Oxford and the UN Environment Programme, invites students from universities and colleges to pledge their commitment to ecosystem recovery and environmental advocacy, aligning with the #GenerationRestoration goals.
About the Organization
The Nature Positive Universities Network is an international coalition of over 500 higher education institutions committed to the Nature Positive Pledge, promoting ecosystem restoration, biodiversity protection, and responsible environmental actions. Founded by the University of Oxford and the United Nations Environment Programme in December 2022, this initiative fosters global collaboration to reverse biodiversity loss.
About the Program
The Nature Positive Student Ambassador Program encourages students passionate about environmental action to participate in a variety of on-campus and virtual initiatives. As ambassadors, students will contribute to campus biodiversity initiatives, collaborate globally, and develop skills across areas like organizing events, social media, ecological surveys, and more. Ambassadors are expected to volunteer 1-2 hours weekly from November 2024 to May 2025, actively engaging in workshops and activities that support nature restoration.
