About

The Indian Institute of Management @ Bangalore (IIM-B) invites applications for multiple positions of Academic Associate (AA) in the Decision Sciences Area (see qualifications below). The Area is looking for candidates with good academic credentials and would likely be interested in pursuing an academic career in Decision Sciences (primarily, statistics, operations research, and business analytics).

The primary responsibility of an Academic Associate is providing teaching support to the faculty. In addition, AAs would also get an opportunity to assist Area faculty in ongoing research projects and get research exposure across a wide range of fields such as Business Analytics, Big Data, Operations Research, Time Series Analysis, Supply Chain Management, amongst others.

Eligibility

Master’s degree in Statistics or Operations Research or closely related field (Industrial Engineering, Applied Math, Scientific Computing, etc.); MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from reputed business schools.

Duration

Initially for a period of one year and extendable to a maximum period of three years.

Salary

An all-inclusive monthly stipend in the range of Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 36,000/- plus an additional housing
allowance of Rs. 8,000/- based on educational qualification and experience of the applicant.
