 Applications are invited for the JRF (Neuropsychologist) at NIMHANS, Bengaluru for the year 2022. The last date of application is 30 April.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates, for the post of “JRF upgraded to SRF after 6 months if found eligible” on contract basis for the project titled “Sleep and Stroke: Empirical Investigation and AI Modeling Development of Automated AIbased Scoring for Sleep Stages & Sleep Apnea and Validation of PPG, BCG against PSG and Short-term Cognitive Outcome of Sleep in Ischemic Stroke Patients”.

Project Summary

The study is an observational cross-sectional study on validation of various wearable and non wearable devices against polysomnography and short-term cognitive outcome in ischemic stroke patients and controls.

The candidate needs to recruit study participants, assess patient’s cognitive levels using
the scales described in the study and administer the cognitive assessments for two sessions over a period of 2 weeks. The candidate would be responsible for documentation and follow-up of the patients during the study.

Eligibility

Essential:

• MPhil Clinical Psychology, M.Sc. Psychology or equivalent is preferred.
• NET qualified or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of one or more programming languages (Kindly Specify).
• Skillful writing and communication skills in English especially in scientific writing.
• Good communication skills in Kannada and Hindi.

Salary

31,000/- + 24% HRA per month (upgraded to 35,000+ 24% HRA if candidate is found eligible as SRF).
