While the sector witnessed very high growth rates post 2000s due to globalization related business and holiday travel, Covid 19 hit the hospitality sector real hard due to lockdown, physical distancing and fear psychosis. now, though the sector is in a recovery stage, not all businesses are able to bounce back, due to intense competition and inability to offer a unique experience to the guests.
Hospitality Businesses are now looking for new opportunities in emerging sectors for growth and profitability as it is realized that clients will only patronize those players who offer creativity, uniqueness and value for money. One such emerging area is Nutritious Foods Sector as the demand for organically grown fruits and vegetables along with various herbs and the so-called “superfoods” is on the rise both for consumption at home and also out of home.
