JRF (Mechanical Engineering) Under SERB Funded Project at NIT Silchar: Apply by May 15

 Applications are invited for JRF (Mechanical Engineering) Under SERB Funded Project at NIT Silchar for the year 2022. The last date of application is 15 May.

Applications are invited from Indian citizens for a temporary of post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the DST-SERB (CRG) sponsored project in the Department of Mechanical Engineering NIT Silchar.

Project Title

Design and development of laser micro-welding for difficult to weld dissimilar shape memory alloy/ nickel-free high nitrogen austenitic stainless steel and mitigating formation of intermetallics by employing Ta/ Cu interlayer for implantable medical devices.

Eligibility

• Age Limit: 30 Years (as on closing date of application)
• Essential Qualification: (i) ME/M. Tech. or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering and related branches of Mechanical Engineering from recognized University. In addition, GATE qualification is mandatory.
• Desirable Qualification: Master Degree in Design/Manufacturing/Production/Tribology/Material Science. Throughout First Class in academic career and Knowledge in welding or shape memory alloys is preferred.

Applicants are also requested to send the soft copy of the duly filled application along with C.V. & all necessary documents to the PI through email(sumitra@mech.nits.ac.in)with the subject as “Application for the post of JRF under the project CRG/2021/007643” on or before 15.05.2022 up to 5 PM IST. Application received after 15.05.2022 will not be accepted.

Salary

Rs. 31,000/- per month.
