Applications are invited for Guest Faculty (Punjabi) at Panjab University for the year 2022. The last date of application is 29 July.

Applications are invited for the appointment of Guest Faculty in the following discipline for the academic session 2022-2023 in the Department of Punjabi, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Eligibility

Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ ST/ Physically & Visually Handicapped) or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed at the Master’s degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.

Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have either cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause 4.4.1, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grant Commission (Minimum standard and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or the subsequent Regulations if notified by the UGC, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in
Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

Preference will be given to candidates having expertise in Folklore, Culture and Medieval Literature.

The applicants are required to fill the application form available on Panjab University Website for Assistant Professors (Page 1 to 9). The duly filled application form along with photocopies of the testimonials, should reach the office of the Department of Punjabi by 29.7.2022 (4.30 p.m.). The candidate(s) must bring the original certificates at the time of interview.
