About job responsibilities:

Execute/translate the data model into physical objects. Controlling authorizations (granting, revoking, and maintaining user groups) for upgrades to versions10 and 11.
Analyze the amount of data and the space needed.
knowledge of creating, modifying, and deleting database objects, including table spaces, tables, indexes, store procedures, and triggers.
Experience working with CLOB, BLOB, XML, large objects, and auxiliary objects.
Knowledge of DB object maintenance tools, including run stats, backup, restore, and X loads.
Experience with the IBM ADMIN tool and the QMF/ Omegamon tools.

Technical and professional expertise required.

Oracle DBA with at least three years of experience and PL/SQL expertise The installation and configuration of databases, database backup, and restoration, high availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, etc.
2-5 Years of Mainframe Application DBA (Physical & Logical) experience z/OS DB2, omegamon, QMF, SPUFI, Data Modelling (startup knowledge), good DB2 analytical skills, and DASD estimation experience of at least two years.

Preferred Professional and Technical Knowledge

Good scripting language experience.
DBA certification for DB2.
