Scholarship Details

Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search Senior Scholarship Test (JBNSTS) 2023/Senior Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti 2023 is an initiative of the Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS), an autonomous registered society which is being promoted by the Government of West Bengal.

The scheme caters to the development of creative undergraduate students studying  Basic Sciences, Engineering & Medicine in registered institutions in West Bengal. It aims to conservation of scientific talent so that the nation’s need for science and technology personnel can be met.

The selected candidates will receive INR 4,000 per month & annual book grant of INR 5,000 for 4/5 years (till completion of B.Tech./B.E./MBBS/BS-MS/M.Sc. degree).

The examination will be held on August 20, 2023.

Timing

10.00 AM to 01.00 PM.

Who can Apply?

Students who have passed/appeared in (10+2) Board examination (WBCHSE /CBSE/ISC /Visva-Bharati Board) in the year 2023 and are studying/aspiring to study Science (Hons.) (BS-MS/Engg./Medicine in West Bengal.

Test Pattern

Senior Talent Search Test/Senior Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti is a 3 Hours duration examination with full marks of 100.

Syllabus

• 12th std. Examination.
• Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (questions from any 3 subjects are to be answered).

Financial Benefits

For Senior Scholars

Rs. 4000/- per month & annual book grant: Rs. 5000/- for 4/5 years (till completion of B.Tech/BE/MBBS/ BS-MS/M.Sc).

For Senior Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti

Rs. 4000/- per month and annual book grant of Rs. 5000/- for four / five years (till completion of B.Tech/ BE/MBBS/BS-MS/M.Sc).

• Top 10 boys and top 10 girls ranked in this examination shall be awarded with laptop.
