At the heart of this argument lies the undeniable and ever true fact that diversity in science leadership fosters creativity and problem-solving. Studies consistently demonstrate that diverse teams outperform homogeneous ones, as they bring together a range of perspectives, experiences, and approaches to tackle multifaceted problems. When different perspectives combine, a complex problem can be brought to a resolution easily- a simple case of unity in diversity. By actively involving women and girls in decision-making processes within scientific domains, we tap into a vast pool of untapped talent, thereby enhancing the quality and effectiveness of solutions aimed at promoting sustainability and basically creating a reserve that is sure to benefit our entire nation in the near future.

Moreover, women and girls often possess unique insights and priorities concerning sustainability. Historically, women have played pivotal roles as primary caregivers and stewards of natural resources in many societies. God Himself chose women to be the ones that bring life into this world for a reason- their unbreakable spirit and their nurturing instinct. Their deep-seated connection to the environment, coupled with their nurturing instincts, offers invaluable perspectives on sustainable resource management, conservation, and climate resilience. Empowering women and girls to assume leadership roles in science amplifies these voices, ensuring that policies and initiatives are more inclusive and responsive to the needs of diverse communities and ecosystems- a sure recipe for progress and prosperity.

Furthermore, promoting women's leadership in science contributes to breaking down barriers and promoting equitable access to opportunities. Female role models in STEM inspire the next generation of girls to pursue careers in science fearlessly. This cascading effect not only diversifies the scientific workforce but also nurtures a culture of inclusivity where individuals, irrespective of gender, feel valued and empowered to contribute to sustainable development initiatives.

This makes us question as to why do we even doubt before acknowledging the fact that women being in leadership roles in the field of research and science is the need of the hour. By affording women equal opportunities to excel in scientific domains, we unlock a wealth of talent and innovation, driving economic growth and fostering a more prosperous and sustainable future for all.

Moreover, women's leadership in science is instrumental in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Whether it's promoting clean energy solutions, improving health outcomes, or advancing gender equality, women and girls play pivotal roles in realising a more sustainable and equitable world. By integrating gender perspectives into scientific research and policymaking processes, we can accelerate progress towards the SDGs, ensuring that no one is left behind. However, despite progress, systemic barriers continue to impede women's full participation in science leadership.
