#IDWGS Essay - Women Empowerment in field of Science by Kashish Kaushik

Women have suffered a lot. She has sacrificed herself for her family. She never hesitated to die for her family. She has made a lot of sacrifices but in turn our society was never good to her. It is our responsibility to teach her, as she also has the right to make her own identity in the society. She is not born to do household chores. She can work and become an independent woman. She can become financially stable on her own. She can make herself the first priority. She has all the rights like a man. Even today in Saudi Arabia, women don't have the right to vote. In India , women are afraid to walk alone on streets. She is afraid of domestic violence. She is the one who suffers the most. If any of her fears become true, she suffers mentally and physically , undergo depression or just suicide. Society makes her die of shame.

Today, women are making more important contributions to the field of research and innovation. They are making new scientific discoveries, inventions etc. But the contributions made by women are seen lesser than men. There are a lot of indian women who have already made a lot of achievements in Science like Janaki Ammal , Anna Mani , Tessy Thomas, Kalpana Chawla and Shakuntla Devi. All these names are proof that women have played a significant role in the development of size and technology. These names are of Indian origin only. Imagine the length of list when the International names of women, scientists and inventors are included. The increased participation of women in size and technology will escalate the talent pool and will deliver excellent results in the future. It will also empower women and encourage them to choose their respective fields of size. It will also pave the way to understanding the importance and role. A woman in style engineering technology and mathematics. This will give birth to social role models and will encourage the future generation to pursue the same.

Education is a basic human right and a reasonably good indicator of development. This is the basis of women's empowerment . Innovative use of technology when built-in with institutional arrangement and interventions. Then go a long way in creating enterprise opportunities for women at the grassroots level with changing societal conditions. Women are a great human resource and their role in science and technologies vital for progress. If women have to be successful in science, we need to create support structures and a positive attitude towards science as a career for them. Therefore , a powerment of women has been recognized as a central goal in development processing india.
