Additional Information on Eligibility: State-recognized tribal organisations that meet the 20 CFR 684.130 definition of an Indian-controlled organisation, as well as incumbent tribal organisations State-recognized tribes that meet the standards of 20 CFR 684.130 include Alaska Native-controlled organisations, Native Hawaiian-controlled organisations, and Tribal Colleges and Universities.
DESCRIPTION:
The Indian and Native American Employment and Training Program, as authorised by WIOA Section 166, is the subject of this notice. The goal of this programme is to support employment and training activities for Indian, Alaskan Natives, and Hawaiian people in order to: (A) improve their academic, occupational, and literacy skills; (B) make them more competitive in the workforce and equip them with the entrepreneurial skills they need to succeed as self-employed people; and (C) promote the economic and social development of Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian people.
