Job description

You are a part of Diagnostic X-Ray R&D team based out of Philips Healthcare Innovation Center (HIC). Philips HIC-Pune is a product innovation center for multiple businesses with presence of R&D, Marketing, Customer Service, Procurement, Quality and Manufacturing functions.

The center is focused on developing smart and reliable X-ray imaging-based Diagnostics and Treatment products with enhanced patient safety to meet the unmet needs of a wide range of global hospital customer base. Support DFM query resolution in Plastics, Sheetmetal and Casting domains. Reverse engineering projects, Tools localization, RFQ preparations, Support should costing projects. To support pipeline projects in injection molding and tool transfers in PH, PD clusters.

Eligibility

• Bachelors degree in mechanical/production engineering
• P.G diploma in tool design

Role

• DFM & DFA: Participate in DFM reviews, lead & resolve DFM queries
• Tooling: Lead/support tooling localization projects, support tool obsolescence 
• Design and development: Develop new part/assembly to fulfill functional requirement
• Materials: understands material properties and application. 
• RFQ: DMR study, RFQ preparations
• DMR’s: Drawing creations/updations, perform Tolerance stack up analysis, apply GD&T controls 
• Cost analysis/V&V: contribute to generate productivity funnel through support/lead should costing analysis, participate in VAVE and DFX workshop
• Simulations: Perform and/or interpret the FEA/moldflow results 
• V&V: develop test fixtures and SOP’s, perform test to learn activities
• Cross function interactions: efficiently works with cross functions (PM, SQE, System designer, supplier, V&V leader) to develop design solutions.  
• Continuous improvement: develop tool & part design checklists, design guides, automation.
