Applications are invited for JRF (Civil Engineering) Under NHPC Funded Project at IIT Kanpur for the year 2022. The last date of application is 19 January.

Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) invites applications for the post of JRF in a NHPC sponsored project on “Development of Design Guidelines/Charts for Quick Estimation of Caverns Behaviour & Support layout including openings based on 3D FEM Analysis”.

Eligibility

• Essential Qualification: MTech in Civil/Mining Engineering with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering/Underground Excavations; Experience on working rock mechanics problems.
• Desirable Qualification: Prior experience of working on topics related to underground structures with numerical simulations based on finite element computer programs.

Duration

• Duration of Post: From date of joining to December 1, 2023
• The post is purely temporary and on contractual basis

Job Responsibilities

The candidate must carry out research work, planning and execution of project related activities, prepare report and presentations.

Salary

Consolidated Salary: Rs. 31000/- per month + HRA as per IIT Kanpur norms.

Selection Process

The selection committee approved by IIT Kanpur reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for shortlisting of eligible candidates satisfying qualifications and experience. Short listed candidates will be informed with an email about the date of interview (online). If shortlisted, copies of relevant certificates will be required, and be checked against original certificates at the time of interview.
