Surya Namaskar Video Contest by Ministry of Ayush: Register by Jan 31!

Entries are invited from eligible candidates for the Surya Namaskar Video Contest by the Ministry of Ayush.

About the Contest

On the holy occasion of Makar Sankranti on 14th January 2022 under #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav, the Ministry of Ayush is organizing a large-scale virtual Surya Namaskar programme where 75 lakh people (participants) will practice Surya Namaskar on 14-01-2022 observing covid appropriate behavior.

This festival comes as a thanksgiving to Mother Nature for spreading health, wealth and happiness around. It is important to mention here that Surya Namaskar is a set of asanas in a combination of 12 steps.

These steps comprise 8 asanas in which 4 asanas are repeated. All the 12 steps are to be done in a chronological manner in order to complete the process of one round of Surya Namaskar.

Through this video contest, MyGove invites people to share videos showcasing their families, friends or other groups performing Surya Namaskar.

The format is Open & Original Content should be shot on mobile/cameras in Hindi/ English or any other language with English subtitles. Participants have to prepare a video up on “Surya Namaskar”.

Theme for the Event

The theme for the event is “Surya Namaskar For Vitality” and सूर्यनमस्कार जीवनीशक्ति का आधार. All the participants may be requested to register on anyone of the following portals before practising Surya Namaskar on 14thJan 2022.

Important Guidelines

• You will be required to provide your name, email address, telephone number and postal address. By submitting your contact details you will give consent to these details being used for further communication.
• You will be required to share videos showcasing yourself, your families, friends or other groups performing Surya Namaskar. The format is Open & Original Content should be shot on mobile/cameras in Hindi/ English or any other language with English subtitles. Participants have to prepare a video up on ” Surya Namaskar.
• Participants can upload a maximum of 1 min of video. The last date of the contest is 31st January 2022.
• Ministry of AYUSH will broadcast selected videos of good content and quality on various channels for the benefit of the citizens of India. This will not only recognize their efforts but also encourage them for their achievements. All entries and their copyright will be the sole property of the Ministry of AYUSH. Ministry may modify the content of videos if required.
