About the Job

As a Sr Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for designing, developing and planning the PaaS setup for various environments as part of large-scale solutions at enterprise level. These designs are mission critical and would provide you an exposure to range of tools and scripting languages based on the project needs.

You will work with functional and technical teams on the project located across shores. You will be responsible for independently leading the team and mentor junior team members, collaborating team across shores to understand the functional requirements and translate them into work products.

You will be involved in end-to-end delivery of the project from estimations, planning and execution. You would also be responsible for tracking status and collecting metrics for analysis.

The work you will do

• Drive discussions with business and functional analysts. Understand the business requirements and the impact of integration on the overall business architecture
• Prepare technical architecture and design and help the team shape requirements and resolve ambiguities on the requirements
• Develop solutions following established technical design, integration application development standards and quality processes in projects
• Run the daily calls / scrum meetings with respect to deliverables and build the weekly status reports to be reviewed with leadership
• Perform detailed reviews on deliverables and provide technical guidance to the team members.
• Interact with onsite clients, coordinator / scrum master, analyst and offshore development, support team and other cross-functional teams
• Identifying new tools and processes to improve the cloud platform and automate processes
• Design PaaS solution improvement recommendations
• Enforce code and deployment verification rules as per the project standards to validate the builds against these standards
• Design templates or scripts to automate everyday developer or operations functions
• 2+ years of experience as lead role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms.
• 1+ years in a platform/product development role
• Experience with any of the following: Azure, O365, Azure Stack, Azure AD
• Experience with any claims based authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC), MFA, RBAC, or ABAC
• Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.
• Experience with resilient and highly available mission critical technology components
• Experience with multi-geo, multi-tier service design and operations

Qualifications

Education: B.E./B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS)

Prior Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience on Azure Platform services on App services, DB services, Service bus, Cache services like CDN, Redis Cache, Container services like Docker, Kubernetes and have multi cloud implementation experience

Skills / Project Experience – required:

• Hands on experience in Azure App services like Web app, or Mobile app etc.
• Hands on experience in DB services like Azure SQL, MySQL, Cosmos DB, Cloud Storage like Blobs, Table, Queues and ARM templates
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in creating and creating and deploying Azure PaaS components using various scripting languages like PowerShell including ARM templates
• Experience in evaluating Azure Features like API Management, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Fabric, IoT Hub, Cortana Intelligence Suite etc.
• Develop, test and maintain programming environments and architectural standards
• Hands on implementation with Azure AD and MFA for large scale implementations
• Communicate clearly across teams in the project
• Understands web application migration to Microsoft Azure and have done a solution migration using any tool like Azure migrate
• Understands setting up Monitoring, Diagnostics, App Insights on Azure for a web application
• Understands standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates and key management
• Hands- on experience on MSFT technology stack- Azure, .Net, MVC, API management etc.
• Understanding of multi-tier application architectures
• Ability to develop, test and maintain programming environments and architectural standards
• Experience in continuous integration processes using tools such as Jenkins
• MCP in Implementing Microsoft Azure PaaS Solutions or certified in Azure PaaS certification (MS Azure 70-532, 70-534/70-535 or AZ-203, AZ-300, AZ-301, AZ-302 etc.) and understand Azure Infrastructure services.

Skills / Project Experience – good to have:

• Additional certification across other platforms like AWS and GCP Developer (Associate or Professional level) certification etc.
• Experience of working at Client/Onsite
• Experience on implementing and following agile methodologies
