About InQube 2022

InQube is sought by one of India's top quiz, content and media companies, Nexus Consulting. With the viewpoint of "fun with fundas", over the past ten years, Nexus has researched and held more than 600 quiz shows, workshops and literary events across the country for children and adults alike. The online and on-ground stages of the quiz and the grand finale will be hosted by the well-known quiz master Venky Srinivasan. He is a well-known figure in the Indian quizzing space and is also a co-founder and the CEO of Nexus.

About competition

• It will happen in hybrid mode with quiz happening online while the national level competition in the Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida 

• Indian undergraduates of any discipline can apply 

• A minimum of two members in each team are required. The team members may belong to two different specializations or years of study. All the members within a team must be from the same college. No cross-college teams are acceptable.

• The quiz will be conducted in five rounds

• The zone-wise preliminary rounds, i.e., North, East, South and West, will be held online.

• Each cluster's top 100 scoring teams will qualify for the cluster round based on pre-defined scoring parameters.

• Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Finals will be conducted at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR campus.

• Participants should have a valid college ID card 

• The questions of the Quiz will be around the world of Business, Brands, Technology, Innovations, Entrepreneurship, etc. Note- These topics are suggestive and not solely complete.

• The medium of the Quiz will be English.

• The quarter-finals and the following rounds of the Quiz will be recorded. By registering in the competition, you shall agree to be part of the recording, and all rights related to the video shall lie with the organizers.

• Participants will need to provide the contact details of at least one faculty member from the same institution. They may reach out to the faculty member to validate your registration

Competition timeline 

Preliminary Round (Online)

This round of the quiz will be online. Only one attempt is allowed from each team. There will be 30 MCQ questions to be answered within 30 seconds each. Top 100 teams from each cluster will move to the next round

Cluster Round (Online)

The cluster round will be held online on a video-streaming platform. One quiz for each cluster will feature 30 questions spread across different business categories in a mixed bag format. The top 2 teams per cluster (8 in total) will be selected for the national-level quarter-finals that will be held at the Delhi NCR campus of SNU.

National Level Quarter Finals (Offline)

It will be a 90 minutes quiz competition with 3-4 different round formats. This part contains a special round that will allow the participants to take questions from a field of their choice. A fast-paced buzzer round is also included. Top 3 teams from each zone (total 12) to be selected for the National semi-finals.

National Level Semi Finals (Offline)

This round will be held in two parts and conducted on-ground at SNU Delhi campus. At least one team member should carry a laptop. 

Part A: Business Case Challenge- Teams will work on a business case with market sizing, revenue, cost, and profitability assumptions and come up with solutions to a problem faced by the business. 

Part B: Business Simulation Challenge The teams will work on an online business simulation platform and make critical business decisions in different stages of the game. Based on the decisions they take; the platform will take them to different business outcomes. The top 6 teams will be selected for the next round.

Grand Finale (Offline)

Top 6 teams will compete in the most exciting business quiz in the country in the Grand Finale. Top-scoring team will be declared the winner of InQube 2022.
