Teaching Associate (Chemistry) at IISER Pune: Walk-in-Interview on July 22

Applications are invited for Teaching Associate (Chemistry) at IISER Pune for the year 2022. Walk-in-Interview is scheduled for 22 July.

Indian Nationals fulfilling following advertised criteria may attend Walk-in Interviews. Positions are under the project titled “Maharashtra State Development of Educators and Enhancement in Delivery (MS-DEED)” (Proj. code: 33821564) funded by Maharashtra State Faculty Development Academy (MSFDA) purely on temporary and contractual basis:

Eligibility

Minimum educational Qualifications: M.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent qualification with relevant specialization

Experience: Experience in conducting undergraduate students’ and teachers’ training programs/ workshops etc.

Preference: Candidates having following will be preferred:

Experience in chemistry teaching / conducting labs / teacher training for undergraduate level at a reputed institute
Excellent subject knowledge, communication skills and proficiency in Hindi / Marathi language
Experience in conducting teacher training workshops and developing resources for training chemistry teachers
Experience in video making, editing and LMS handling (e.g. Moodle)
Experience in designing curricula for students and teachers in inquiry based, active learning methods in chemistry education, particularly at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Experience in management of capacity building programs for teachers in science education.

Job Requirement

Incumbent is expected to assist in organizing pedagogy workshops for college teachers and hands-on science activity workshops at IISER and also travel to other places in Maharashtra to conduct such workshops, develop online resources for teachers on how to teach chemistry effectively, create video content, maintain website, and support in designing and conducting residential program for undergraduate teachers.
