Job Position Description:

A Software Engineer position is now open with the BU Systems R&D group at National Instruments Semiconductor. Our team's engineers are involved in a wide range of projects, from developing system-level hardware and software components for system products like the Semiconductor Test System (STS) to developing system reference architectures for uses like 5G mmWave Over-The-Air Front-End Module Characterization.

The team works with Sales, Offering Management, and Manufacturing in conjunction with our System Development Process to explore new and developing application areas to aid in the formulation of future offers in addition to system design and development (SDP).

This position's primary areas of interest will include large-scale parallel SMU test systems, mixed-signal IC power validation, and LCR device-level measurements. defining validation processes for standard mixed-signal building elements such as interface protocols, voltage regulators, and data converters (ADC/DAC). In this position, the Systems R&D Engineer will give technical advice on system architecture for Automated Design Validation solutions and subject matter knowledge for client DUTs.

As a software R&D engineer for mixed-signal systems

Overview of the position: Develop application software for NI Mixed Signal test systems, which are used to evaluate and characterize integrated circuit (IC) device performance.

Duties of the position:

Make the necessary research to produce or improve your items.

For both new and existing products, create, develop, and test software features.

Identify and fix issues with your product or issues that occur when it interfaces with other NI products or customer goods.

To address technical issues, collaborate with a wide range of NI staff members in R&D software and hardware divisions throughout the globe.

Position Requirements:

Electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science at the B.S. level or above, or a comparable combination of work experience and other education

high-level programming languages (C, C++, C#, LabVIEW, or Python) and solid debugging abilities

Any familiarity with or understanding of the following is an advantage

Instruments used often in test engineering, including SMU, DMM, Scope, LCR meters, etc.

Ability to work successfully across groups and collaborate with teams in the United States or other places

Speak and write English clearly, especially while having technical conversations.

Resolve issues efficiently

Be a self-starter, exercise initiative, and work independently.
