About the Program

The Internship Programme is designed to orient women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers from non-Tier I cities and rural areas with the policies and programs of the MWCD. The interns will engage in pilot projects and micro-studies that highlight the Ministry's ongoing activities. This exposure aims to empower interns to advocate for women's and children's issues effectively.

Benefits

• Stipend: Rs. 20,000 per month
• Travel Reimbursement: Deluxe/AC bus/3 Tier AC train fare for joining and returning from the program
• Accommodation: Hostel facility on a sharing basis in Delhi, including basic amenities such as triple sharing accommodation with an attached bathroom, table, chair, and cupboard (mattress not included)

Eligibility

• Age Group: 21-40 years
• Applicants: Women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers enrolled in or associated with any university/academic/non-academic institution
• Geography: Preference for candidates from non-Tier I cities and rural parts of India

How to Participate

• Application Portal: Apply online through the Internship Portal.
• Application Window: Applications are accepted from the 1st to the 10th of every month.
• Advance Application: Applications can be submitted up to six months in advance.

Selection Process

• Selection Committee: A Selection Committee will review and recommend candidates.
• Result Announcement: The list of selected candidates will be available on the Internship Portal under ‘Downloads’.
• Reapplication: Once selected, a candidate cannot apply again for this program.
