Challenge Details

The Oxford Big Read Global Challenge promotes literacy by encouraging students to read and enjoy their favorite books. Students choose a book from a provided list, complete a project suited to their age group, and submit it through their school.

The competition is held at both country-wide and global levels. Local winners are entered into the global competition, where regional winners and runners-up are selected.

Who Can Participate?

• All students from classes 1-9 studying in schools in India.
• Entries must be submitted through the class teacher and school.
• Individual applications from parents or students are not accepted.
• Use of artificial intelligence or similar tools in entry creation is prohibited.

Awards and Prizes

• Grand Prize: An Apple iPad for one winner in each category.
• Consolation Prize: OUP vouchers equivalent to GBP 100 for one runner-up in each category.
• Winners will be contacted via email or telephone by December 31, 2024.
• Judges' decisions are final; no appeals or correspondence will be entertained.
• Oxford reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value without notice.
