About the Video Making Competition 2022
As the nation commemorates Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, marking the 75 glorious years of India’s Independence, Vigyan Prasar, under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor (PSA) and 18 other Ministries of the Government of India, is holding a mega-event “Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate”(Science is revered everywhere)during the national Science Week (22-28 February 2022).
To engage the masses with the mission, Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate – Video Making Competition invites original creative, innovative and interesting entries.

Topic for Video Making Competition 2022
The topic for the film making competition is “VIGYAN SARVATRA PUJYATE” (SCIENCE IS REVERED EVERYWHERE). The competition will enhance awareness amongst students about contribution of science for the betterment of the humanity.
The topic for the film making competition is “VIGYAN SARVATRA PUJYATE” (SCIENCE IS REVERED EVERYWHERE). The competition will enhance awareness amongst students about contribution of science for the betterment of the humanity.
Rules for Video Making Competition
- Participants can submit their entries eithera) As a student of a school, college, university or any other recognized educational institution. As an amateur film maker who does not pursue film making as a business/profession.
- The video film shall not be more than 120 seconds, including the beginning and end credits. Video exceeding this time limit are liable to be rejected. The minimum length should be 30 seconds including credits. The video should be shot in HD format. Video containing offensive or inappropriate language or political overtones will not be accepted.
- Filmmaker can submit maximum three entries in total.
- Films can be produced in English or Hindi.
- Films can be shot on smartphone or a video camera. The film will need to be shot in 1920x1080p (Full HD). However, a lower resolution is permissible for purposes of entering the contest.
- The film needs to be uploaded on to YouTube as UNLISTED (it should not be available on search engines or available in public domain). The YouTube link needs to be submitted on MyGov.in as the entry. Any film that is in public domain, will be disqualified.
- All shortlisted films / winning films may be asked by Organizers to submit the Full HD (1920×1080) version.
- Captions and credits if any, must be in legible font and color and must be within the safe areas.
