Job Overview

• To manage the Medical Office and conduct pre-flight Medical Checks (PFMC) for crew. They would be required to certify staff sick/fit as well as passengers fit to travel, if needed. Handle any medical emergencies of staff and passengers at the airport. Replenish and certify first aid and medical kits.
• Key ResponsibilitiesTo conduct pre-flight and post flight medical checks and maintain all its documentation and records as per prevailing DGCA and company rules.
• To maintain the upkeep of the Medical center and address all discrepancies.
• Replenish and certify the contents of the First Aid Kit, Medical Kit and Universal Precaution Kit as per regulatory requirements.
• Assessment of passengers for fitness to travel considering his/her condition as and when required.
• Examine, treat the employees, certify them sick and attend to the emergencies in the airport area.
• Assist in dealing with the casualties of the accidents/medical incidents in the Airport areas for employees of TATA SIA, if needed.
• Coordinate with emergency services if necessary.
• Conducting First-aid trainings for cabin crew and for pilots – Initial induction and annual recurrent/refresher trainings.
• Maintain proper documentation related to first-aid trainings and documents related to airport medical room functioning.

Qualification

1. MBBS from a recognized university.
2. Skills & AttributesHands on experience of MS excel/ MS Word, presentation skills,
3. Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload while delivering high accuracy/quality work,
4. Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills along with stakeholders from all levels,
5. Meticulous and has good technical / procedures writing skills,
6. Flexible, able to work independently on tight deadlines, positive attitude, independent and fast learner,
7. Good understanding of Safety Management System.

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience with preferably one year of experience in medical aviation setting.
