The Position: Web Information Extraction Intern

A centralized team: Web Information Scraping & Extraction group under Data Transformation, handles the needs of all divisions for web scraping and extraction.

The Impact: The current position is with a firm support department that develops various programs to gather data from various websites and alert internal clients. The task is extremely important and necessitates relevancy and correctness as the team offers the data to the product team.

This job will provide you the chance to get to know different Content Teams and stakeholders, communicate with them, and learn about S&P products.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowing the priorities and requirements of the client. Give the clients a precise, pertinent, and comprehensive solution.
  • Creating web crawlers using a variety of internal and external technologies to collect and provide internal clients with pertinent facts and information.
  • Know how the dataset works, the workflows, and the tools used in the workflow.
  • Work on tasks as they arise and see to it that they are finished within the allotted time while keeping the appropriate standard.

Eligibility:

  • BCA/B Tech graduation
  • Understanding of web technologies like HTML, JS, CSS, and other element names
  • It is preferable to have SQL and database skills. A capacity for multitasking, teamwork, and working under deadline pressure while maintaining a flexible schedule.
  • A must-have is good communication skills. Flexibility and a multitasking mindset.
  • Fixing issues and being efficient interpersonal competencies
  • The internship lasts for six months.
