ILO Internship Programme provides an opportunity for creative individuals to increase their understanding of prevalent issues at the international level by engaging them directly in the work of the Office and the application of ILO principles, programs, and strategies;  opportunity to gain practical experience with the ILO directly related to their field of study.

Details and work requirements for interns:

• The duration of the internship is 6 months.
• The stipend salary is (CNY 8,700).
• The location for the work is Beijing.
•  Interns have to assist the Labour Market Researcher Coordinator in the labour market and labour policy research.
•  They have to collect information for the Labour Market Research Coordinator.
• Interns have to analyze data by applying basic statistical software, e.g. Excel, SPSS, etc. 
• Interns have to assist the Senior Communication Management Assistant in managing social media accounts on a regular basis.
• Interns have to produce infographics and multimedia products with software for communication purposes.
• Interns have to assist in setting up and recording (video) interviews/speeches when necessary.
• interns have to conduct a daily scan of major news on new development and policy announcements in the labour. and social policy areas, select news of sufficient value and distribute them to concerned colleagues on a regular basis.
• Interns have to categorize digital materials and upload them to ILO’s digital inventory.
• Interns have to translate materials from English to Chinese and vice versa.
•  an important duty is to support ILO activities and campaigns in China.
