Eligibility Criteria

• The competition is open to all Indian Nationals.
• The competition is divided into 2 categories:
• Junior Category: Under 15 years ( born after 31st July 2009).
• Senior Category: (15 to 30 years) (born between 31st July 1993 and 31st July 2008).

How to Apply?

After recording your performance upload the video on YouTube and keep it private while adding the email address leclassique2k23@gmail.com to grant access.

From your primary email address send an email to leclassique2k23@gmail.com with the subject “LC2023-junior” or “LC2023-senior” as per your category.

Include the following items in the body of the email:

• Full Name (As you would like to appear in the certificate).
• Date of Birth.
• Title of the piece performed in the video and name of the composer.
• Scanned or Soft copy of Id proof (e.g. Aadhar Card).
• Link to the uploaded YouTube video.

Video Guidelines

• Record your video in an uninterrupted, single, unedited take.
• Recording should be in landscape mode.
• Make sure that the sound quality is not distorted.
• You may use a video camera or a phone camera. Ensure that the resolution is sufficiently high(minimum 360p)
• The camera should be placed on the treble end of the piano and provide a clear view of the entire keyboard, your entire body (including the feet and pedal), and at least the side profile of your face.
• Please use a tripod stand to ensure that the image is completely still, and don’t change the direction of the camera during the performance.
• You are strongly advised to record audio and video on the same device, as synchronization issues between sound and video will not be accepted.

Rules & Regulations

• The repertoire chosen to perform should be strictly of the Western Classical genre.
• The difficulty level of the chosen pieces should be above or equivalent to a grade 6 for Junior Category and grade 8 for Senior Category.
• The duration for the pre-screening performance should be between 3 and 5 mins.

• The performance should be done either on a digital piano or a well-tuned acoustic piano.
• Selected final participants from the pre-screening round will have to report at the venue on the 2nd of September latest by 10:00 am.

• Selected finalists will be informed via email on or before: August 15, 2023.
• Final round on: September 2, 2023.
