HundrED Youth Ambassador Programme [Age 13-19, Powered by IB]: Apply by June 20

The Youth Ambassador Programme, in partnership with the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) as part of the Festival of Hope, supports young changemakers in creating and enhancing social impact projects addressing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Through online workshops, discussions, mentorship opportunities, and ongoing engagement in a closed Discord channel, Youth Ambassadors learn, ideate, and collaborate to positively impact their communities while addressing global challenges. This programme not only supports young changemakers but also fosters a supportive, kind, inspiring, and safe online community for young people aged 13-19. In partnership with The International Baccalaureate (IB).


Why Become a Youth Ambassador?

As a Youth Ambassador, You Will:

  • - Connect to a Global Community: Engage with like-minded young people from around the world.
  • - Gain Confidence: Develop your own ideas through workshops, webinars, and events designed to help you create social impact projects.
  • - Build Resilience: Learn to adapt and change your innovations when things don’t work out.

How to Apply 

Applications for the September-December cohort are open from May 27 to June 20, 2024. Please note that you will be required to send a pre-recorded video together with your application.

Q: Is there a fee for the programme?

A: No, the programme is entirely free of charge.

Q: Do I need to be an IB student to participate?

A: No, you do not need to be an IB student. If you are between 13-19 years old and passionate about changemaking, we want to hear from you!

Q: Do I need to speak English perfectly to join the programme?

A: The programme is held in English, but you do not need to speak or write it perfectly. It’s enough to communicate well; grammar isn’t checked.

Q: Is there any travel involved?

A: No, the programme is entirely online. We will connect on Discord, where we have an online forum and can chat anytime.

Q: How much time do I need to commit to the programme?

A: There’s no compulsory time commitment, but we encourage Youth Ambassadors to spend around 1 hour weekly to connect, attend online sessions, or participate in workshops. Those working on their own social impact projects will dedicate time according to their availability and interest.

Q: How will I attend the online meetings if we are in different time zones?

A: Online activities will be organized at different times to accommodate global participants. We will have two monthly meetings (on Saturdays) at different times, along with various sessions and workshops during the week. Many resources are pre-recorded, so you can access them at your own pace.

Q: When does the programme take place?

A: The programme has two cohorts. In 2024, the first cohort runs from February to May, and the second from September to December.

Q: In what language will the programme be held?

A: The programme will be held in English.

Q: What are the main goals of the programme?

A: The main goal is to provide a space for youth to use their voices to create change. This involves connecting with inspirational young people globally, learning about the SDGs, and acquiring skills to create your own social impact project.

Q: What will I get at the end of the programme?

A: Youth Ambassadors will receive a Certificate of Participation from HundrED and IBO, and countless connections with young people worldwide.
