About Children’s Book Trust

Founded by Shankar in 1957, Children’s Book Trust (CBT) is a pioneer in publishing children’s books in India. Located in Nehru House, inaugurated by President Dr. S. Radhakrishnan in 1965, CBT aims to produce well-written, illustrated, and designed books for children, promoting India’s cultural heritage. CBT also publishes "Children’s World," one of the oldest children’s magazines in English, now in its 57th year.

About the Program

Your Pages 2024 is a competition organized by Children’s World, inviting school children to submit original written and artistic works for the 35th Special November issue. This initiative encourages creativity and expression among young minds through storytelling, poetry, and visual arts.

Eligibility

• Open to all school children.
• Each participant can submit one written entry and/or one painting.
• Schools can send up to ten written entries and ten paintings.

Rules

• Written Entries: Must be typed; handwritten entries will not be accepted.
  • Prose: Maximum 750 words.
  • Poems: Maximum 25 lines.
• Painting Entries: Can be in any medium.
• Each entry must include a passport-size photo of the participant and a duly filled Declaration form.
• Entries should be sent via email in MS Word doc format for written entries and scanned JPEGs for paintings. PDF files will not be accepted.

How to Participate

1. Prepare your entry: Follow the rules for prose, poetry, or painting.
2. Include: Passport-size photo and filled Declaration form.
3. Email Submission: Send all attachments in a single email to cwcontest.nd@gmail.com.

Submission Deadline

The last date for submissions is July 31, 2024.
