JRF Under DRDO Funded Project at ISI Kolkata [3 Positions]: Apply by Dec 31

Applications are invited for JRF Under DRDO Funded Project at ISI Kolkata for the year 2021. The last date of application is 31 December.

Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata is inviting applications for the recruitment of three (03) Project linked Junior Research Fellows on a purely temporary basis to work on the project titled “Advanced Machine Learning Techniques for Cryptanalysis” funded by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), in the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CAIML) of the Institute.

Eligibility

Essential: M.E./ M. Tech. or equivalent degree in Computer Science/ Cryptology and Security/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering/ Information Technology, or M.Sc. in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Computer Science/ Electronics. Candidates with M. E./ M. Tech. as the qualifying degree must have at least 60% marks (or equivalent grades) in M. E./ M. Tech. as well as in the immediate preceding degree. The candidates with qualifying degrees in science must have at least 60% marks (or equivalent grades) at the master’s level and must be CSIR/NET qualified.

Desirable skills: Good programming skills (in C/ C++/ Python). Academic/ project/ research experience in the areas of Machine Learning and/or Cryptology.

Age: Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 December 2021, with usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women and differently-abled candidates. Age relaxation may be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.

Salary

Rupees 31000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand only) plus House Rent Allowance per month as per rules of the Institute.

Tenure of appointment

The appointment will initially be for ten months from the date of joining in the Institute, which may be extended later/ terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidates.

(in block letters), (b) Permanent/ Present Address, (c) E-mail Address, (d) Telephone/Mobile No., (e) Parent’s/Spouse’s Name, (f) Date of birth, (g) Academic Qualifications (with percentage of marks/ grades obtained in each examination from 10th standard onwards), (h) Experience (if any), (i) Aadhar Card No., (j) SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled status including self attested soft copies of all documents/testimonials latest by 31 December 2021.

Salary

Rupees 31000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand only) plus House Rent Allowance per month as per rules of the Institute.
