Research Assistant (Management) at IIM Ahmedabad: Apply by Dec 31

Applications are invited for Research Assistant (Management) at IIM Ahmedabad for the year 2021. The last date of application is 31 December.

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply for a position of Research Assistant working with Prof. Saral Mukherjee. The RA is expected to work on a variety of consultancy projects and case writing related to the domain of multi-sided platforms, operations and supply chain strategy, marketing-operations interface.

A typical consulting project could involve supply chain redesign to improve customer service, quality and cost performance and would look at inter-functional linkages between sales, marketing, operations, finance etc as well as operational issues related to procurement, production, logistics and supply chain domain. Case writing projects are related to multi-sided platform businesses and e-commerce marketplaces.

Eligibility

The RA should be a graduate or post-graduate or doctorate in any management-related discipline. Candidates with prior experience in writing case studies or candidates who have authored/co-authored relevant research articles would be preferred. Candidates should possess excellent written communication skills. Compensation would be commensurate with qualification and experience and as per IIMA guidelines.

Responsibilities

The RA will conduct high quality research including literature search, field data collection, visits to companies and sites to conduct data collection, interviews and research, data analysis, and scientific writing and case writing. The RA is expected to support the faculty in case writing and pursue research in cooperation with companies and publish research results in journals. The RA will participate in the education program and workshops, as and when needed.

Duration & Location

The position will be initially offered for a period of six months and may be extended depending on performance. The position is based in Ahmedabad (exceptions can be considered for highly qualified/experienced candidates).

IIMA provides access to the library and computer center for all Research Assistants. If selected, the candidate is expected to manage their own accommodation, outside the IIMA campus which is centrally located within the city of Ahmedabad.
