About the Faculty Development Program

This Faculty Development Workshop is aimed to impart basics in the synthesis, photophysical, and electrochemical properties of various dyes that can harvest solar energy. These topics provide opportunity to the faculty and researchers to introduce new topics related to sustainable energy in their curriculum.

Further, this workshop provides a platform for interaction and exchange of ideas on current trends in the fields of photovoltaics, green hydrogen production, photo-redox catalysis and explore the use of the spectroscopic and electrochemical instruments for the analysis of the compounds.

Content of the Faculty Development Workshop

• To enable the participants to learn various synthetic strategies for the preparation light capturing materials.
• To utilize the concepts of photo-induced energy/electron transfer to understand the photophysical properties of the materials.
• To empower the participants to transfer their learning experiences into their classroom-teaching practices for designing small-scale projects on sustainable energy

Eligibility for Faculty Development Program

The program is open to all NBA and AICTE approved Engineering/Polytechnic college teachers, all University faculty members, Degree college lecturers, and research scholars.
